Cherrymont (/cherrymont/ [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Dragonsea Dutchy, Hesan County, within the Kingdom of Helsteria.

The name Cherrymont is derived from the Sylvin language, as Cherrymont was founded by Nrêlëd Feetham, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Cherrymont has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 24°C (75°F). Cherrymont receives an average of 144 cm/y (56 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Cherrymont covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 2724 m (8937 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Cherrymont was founded durring the early 11th century, by Nrêlëd Feetham. The establishment of Cherrymont suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Cherrymont which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Cherrymont was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Cherrymont is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Cherrymont is buildings are located arround a single narrow cobblestone mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Cherrymont's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Cherrymont seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Cultural Notes

Cherrymont's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.

In Cherrymont every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.
